What You’ll Do:

• Conduct interviews, diagnose, and treat patients in custody with mental health challenges
• Develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans, including individual and group therapy
• Coordinate care with facility staff and mental health supervisors
• Provide consultation and support to outside mental health providers and agencies
• Participate in staff conferences regarding diagnosis and treatment strategies
• Assist in developing community mental health initiatives and services
• Conduct occasional telehealth services as needed

What You Need:Required:

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
• Valid Alaska license (LCSW or LPC) or temporary licensure support
• At least 1 year of relevant mental health experience
• Strong therapeutic and diagnostic skills
• Ability to establish rapport and maintain confidentiality

Preferred:

• Experience working in correctional or forensic settings
• Knowledge of mental health laws and policies in Alaska
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
