What You’ll Do:

• Conduct interviews, diagnoses, and provide therapeutic treatment to individuals in custody
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with facility staff
• Provide individual and group psychotherapy, including crisis intervention when necessary
• Coordinate care, including arranging psychiatric hospitalization and follow-up
• Participate in diagnostic conferences and case staffings with psychiatrists and clinicians
• Act as a liaison with community mental health agencies and other social services
• Assist in developing community mental health programs and outreach initiatives

What You Need:Required:

• Active Alaska LCSW or LPC license
• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
• Relevant clinical experience in mental health treatment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and build rapport with diverse populations

Preferred:

• Experience working in correctional or institutional settings
• Knowledge of mental health laws and policies in Alaska
• Strong assessment and crisis intervention skills
