Job Description

Title: Licensed Mental Health Therapist- Hep C Free Program

Location: Indian Health Clinic- 703 NE Hancock St., Portland, OR 97212

& Wellness Center- 12360 E Burnside St., Portland, OR 97233

Schedule: This is an in person position, Monday through Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends required to meet program needs.

Wage Range: $75,600.00 - $87,150.00 annual salary, Exempt

Position Overview:

The Licensed Mental Health Therapist- Hep C Free provides behavioral health screening, therapy, crisis intervention, and care coordination services for individuals engaged through NARA NW's Hep C Free Program. Working alongside outreach, medical, and behavioral health staff, this position supports individuals experiencing mental health concerns, substance use disorders, and barriers to accessing healthcare and other community resources. Services may be provided in clinic and community-based settings, with a focus on engagement, treatment access, and whole-person care. This position utilizes trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and harm reduction approaches to support participant wellness and recovery. Hours of work are flexible to meet program needs, with some evenings and weekends required.

What you will do:

  • Participate in community outreach with Hep C Free team, engaging with community members in the outreach setting
  • Provide behavioral health screenings, referrals, and intake coordination for community members interested in NARA mental health services.
  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy services as appropriate for clients being served under the grant.
  • Assist in coordinating care for clients from Hep C Free outreach into mental health and SUD services including following them through treatment and referrals to appropriate levels of care.
  • Serve as consultant and liaison with referral sources and treatment providers.
  • Complete written mental health assessments, diagnostic assessments and impressions, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries and other documentation as required. Contribute to development of treatment plan with care team.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed including referral and follow-up.
  • Provide referral and follow-up and outreach services as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings as needed.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities including chart reviews.
