Job Title: Pharmacy Floor Techncian (Evening/AM Shift)Allmed Benefits: Vision Insurance, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance and 401(k)Pay Rate: $21/hr (Paid Weekly)Work Location: 281 SHORE DR, UNITS C AND D, Burr Ridge, ILContract to Hire: 06/30/2026 to 12/26/2026Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday: 6:30 PM – 3:00 AM
- Every Other Weekend: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Overtime and holiday work may be required based on business needs
Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pharmacy Floor Technician to support daily pharmacy operations by preparing prescription medications for final verification by a licensed pharmacist. This role plays an essential part in ensuring accurate medication fulfillment, maintaining workflow efficiency, and supporting compliance standards in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Pick, label, and scan medications in preparation for final pharmacist verification
- Pull medications from shelving and designated storage areas, including prepack racks
- Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy verification
- Notify the pharmacist on duty of any medications or products that do not scan properly
- Process returned medications, including recycling and disposal according to established procedures
- Assist with prepacking frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods
- Package materials and products manually as required
- Maintain organized workstations and replenish stock supplies as needed
- Follow all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA compliance
- Adhere to departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active and clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Illinois Board of Pharmacy
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to work efficiently at a moderate pace in a high-volume environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous pharmacy technician experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and stoop intermittently throughout the workday
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (7–10 hours per shift)
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Manual dexterity required to operate equipment and perform repetitive tasks
- Visual acuity to read fine print, distinguish colors, and adjust focus
- Ability to hear and respond to normal verbal communication#ZR
