Position: Licensed Practical Nurse
Facility: Montana State Hospital
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start date: 01/26/2026
Location: 300 Garnet Way, Warm Springs, MT 59756
PR: $20/hr on W2 + $1230/week Stipend
Weekly Gross Pay: $1950/ Week
Schedule: 7 pm to 7 am

Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care and therapeutic support to adult clients in a psychiatric and developmental care setting. This is a 7p 7a night shift role focused on patient safety, therapeutic communication, and high-quality nursing care for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID), autism spectrum disorders, and adult psychiatric conditions.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care, assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations for adult clients
Supervise, observe, and account for patients to ensure safety and well-being
Administer care as directed by medical and nursing providers
Observe, report, and document patients' physical, emotional, and behavioral status
Utilize therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques appropriately
Maintain and protect patient rights at all times
Implement appropriate nursing care interventions and accurate documentation
Utilize patient care information systems and related technology effectively
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support treatment goals

Requirement

Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Montana
1 year of experience with ID patients, Adult Psychiatry, or Autism Spectrum patients
BLS from AHA
Driver's License
