Job Description

At Cura Health, we are looking for compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our nursing team. As an LPN, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional, resident-centered care by providing skilled nursing services, administering medications and treatments, monitoring resident conditions, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders, individualized care plans, and nursing standards.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately.
  • Assess residents, monitor for changes in condition, and promptly notify the appropriate healthcare provider.
  • Accurately document resident care, medication administration, and clinical observations in the electronic health record.
  • Supervise and delegate nursing tasks to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) while providing guidance and support.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and resident assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Perform nursing procedures within the scope of practice, including wound care, catheter care, and other treatments as assigned.
  • Ensure physician orders are implemented accurately and completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain infection prevention and control practices while promoting a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and survey readiness activities.
  • Comply with all federal, state, local, and facility policies, including resident rights and HIPAA regulations.
  • Promote a culture of compassion, professionalism, teamwork, and resident-centered care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the nursing department and ensure quality resident care.

Requirements

  • Valid and current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Prior experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing care practices, medication administration, and patient safety protocols.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Ability to work under supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
