Job Description
Position: Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN
Contract: 13-week assignment with possible extension
Pay Rate: $35/hour
Location: Claremore, OK
Setting: Primary Care
Schedule: Days/nights | 40 hours weekly | Flexible days and times based on preference
Overview: The LPN will be responsible for delivering patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). Duties include providing direct patient care, assisting in the development and implementation of care plans, and performing various clinical procedures. The nurse must be able to recognize and report changes in patient conditions promptly and maintain accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide skilled nursing care to patients from admission through discharge
Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions and responses to treatments
Collaborate with RNs and the healthcare team to update and execute care plans
Perform wound care, sterile dressing changes, and other therapeutic procedures
Start, maintain, and monitor IVs; insert catheters and NG tubes
Administer medications, including IV medications, as ordered
Perform and assist with treatments such as oxygen therapy, suction, and respiratory care
Adhere to infection control standards, including care for isolation patients
Support patient education and promote a safe and healing environment
Qualifications:
Active LPN license (State of Oklahoma or Compact License)
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; wound care experience required
Current BLS certification
