Newton Village, a Cassia community, is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Newton, you'll deliver compassionate, high-quality care to residents, administer medications, and work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the best possible outcomes. Our ideal candidate is skilled, dependable and thrives in a collaborative environment, with a strong commitment to enriching the lives of older adults.
Position Type: Part-Time
Shifts Available:
Evening/Night Combination 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm and 10:00pm to 6:00am
Bonus: $5,000 Part-Time
Location: 110 N 5th Ave W, Newton, IA 50208
Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities:
- Display a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
- Administer medications and/or treatment in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.
- Manage medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Document resident care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
- Notify Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and take follow-up action as necessary.
- Performs additional duties as required.
Licensed Practical Nurse Qualifications:
- Must have a current Iowa LPN license and be in good standing.
- CPR certification or willing to obtain.
- Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
- Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.
