Job Description
Position Summary:
The Licensed Psychologist is responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, and testing. This role involves conducting comprehensive evaluations, and testing to help clients get diagnosed with Autism, Personality Disorders, Intellectual Conditions, etc. The psychologist will collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and adherence to clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including diagnostic assessments, and court-ordered assessments as needed.
- Administer, score, and interpret psychological testing (e.g., cognitive, personality, and behavioral assessments).
- Diagnose mental health conditions in accordance with DSM-5-TR criteria.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA, Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards, and agency policies.
- Collaborate with psychiatric providers, therapists, case managers, and external agencies to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide clinical recommendations for higher levels of care or referrals when appropriate.
- Participate in case consultations, supervision (if applicable), and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with the American Psychological Association (APA) guidelines.
- Stay current with continuing education requirements and best practices in the field.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or related field.
- Active, unrestricted Licensed Psychologist license in the State of Tennessee.
- Experience in psychological testing and assessment preferred.
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Pay Structure: We can do a split 65/35% of what insurance pays or a flat fee per evaluation done... We are flexible so everyone is happy...
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders.
- Experience conducting psych testing and court-related assessments.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Experience in outpatient or community mental health settings.
Work Environment & Expectations:
- Outpatient clinical setting.
- May include in-person and telehealth services.
- Must adhere to all agency policies, including confidentiality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Expected to maintain productivity and quality metrics as defined by the organization.
