Job Title: Life Safety & Security Foreman Location: Des Moines, Field Join Team Kline – Where you’re not just an employee, you’re an owner! Job Summary: The Life Safety & Security Foreman is responsible for the physical installation of Fire Alarm System cabling and devices on low voltage circuits. This role involves working on new construction sites and existing buildings during remodels, collaborating with the installation team to meet deadlines. The Life Safety & Security Foreman will oversee alarm and life safety systems, ensuring job sites are ready for work and supervising the installation team. - Perform the physical installation of Fire Alarm System cabling and devices on low voltage circuits at new construction sites and existing buildings during remodelsWork with the installation team to complete multiple phases of system installation to meet client deadlinesEnsure job sites are ready for work prior to arrival by coordinating with the project management teamCommunicate the status of jobs to the project management teamMaintain jobsite safety documentation and ensure compliance with the company and site safety requirementsProduce as-built print sets that accurately reflect field installations upon project completion Foster a positive team culture within and across all departmentsMinimum Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D. 2+ years of Life Safety & Security systems field experienceNICET I or ESA I within the first 18 months of employment Proficiency with hand and power toolsFamiliarity with wiring diagrams across electrical tradesExperience installing fire alarm and or low voltage cabling and field equipmentBasic computer skills for jobsite management software and digital plan setsAbility to read blueprints and review system specificationsValid drivers licenseMust be able to be covered under company's vehicle insurance policyPhysical Requirements and Work Environment:Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly Capability to work on ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lift platformsMay work in confined spaces while adhering to OSHA and company safety standardsClear and professional communication with customers, project managers, and coworkersIndoors and outdoors in various settingsMay be exposed to extreme weatherWork may involve tight spaces, and handling heavy toolsOvertime, weekend, and emergency work may be requiredWhy Team Kline?
