Job Description
A PART-TIME TEMPORARY Lifeguard is an essential member of our team, we invite you to apply and help contribute to CNLV’S growing success! Please thoroughly review the information and selection process outlined below this announcement.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION:
- Part-Time/Temporary Position – This position is a part time/temporary position and DOES NOT include health or medical benefits. Hours for this position will not exceed 938 per calendar year.
- Pay Considerations – The hourly pay for this position is $16.00.
- Work Schedule – You must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, overtime, stand by and holidays.
- Environment:
- The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold: No effective protection from weather.
- The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
- The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals, walking, and working on slippery and uneven surfaces.
- The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
- The worker is exposed to infectious diseases or other possible infectious materials.
- Exposed to blood.
- Exposed to fecal matter.
- Exposed to OPIM.
- Work Location – Multiple recreational centers across North Las Vegas. Applicants should indicate their preferred location using the dropdown menu above.
THE ROLE:Under immediate supervision, performs lifeguard duties and administers first aid and emergency assistance as needed. Monitors the activities at public pools to prevent accidents and provide assistance. Position filled on temporary basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience:
- Minimum age of 16 years at time of hire.
- Any combination of education, training, and experience which produces knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
