Job Description
Tanknology, a fast-growing leader in the petroleum services industry, is looking for experienced, energetic, hardworking Light Duty Construction Technician in Columbus, OH. The Light Duty Construction Technician assist in the installation of fueling systems including: Installing underground and aboveground tanks, installing fuel dispensers, cleaning and replacing spill containment systems, busting and removal of concrete, piping, electrical wiring, excavating, and other petroleum related work.
Responsibilities:
Conduct work on construction projects, concrete removal and replacement, manhole and spill containment replacementsFraming, pouring, mixing, and finishing small portions of concreteOperate equipment such as company work truck, skid steers, forklift, man-lift following all equipment and company safety protocolsEnsure safe housekeeping practices are followed at all times, including job cleanup at the end of each dayMaintain tools and equipment to ensure all are in proper and safe working orderVerify accuracy and compliance of tasks in progress to comply with codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirementsCreate and maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors to maintain a timely flow of supplies, materials and sub-contractor work
What We Are Looking For:
Class A&B UST License a huge plusPrevious experience installing petroleum systems or performing fuel polishing. (REQUIRED)Minimum of 2 years' experience working in construction or trades is required- Concrete experience is a huge plusClass A CDL and Heavy equipment operation experience is preferred. Will assist in getting Class A CDL.Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is a huge PLUSTroubleshooting skills/logical problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and customer relations skills
Other Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (required)Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required)Pass Background check, drug test and DOT card (required)
