The Opportunity:

High Flying Foods is looking for a Line Cook to join our Nixtaco and Bawk Restaurants located at Sacramento International Airport. You will join a dynamic and positive team environment, maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence. This position requires availability from 3:30am-12:00am, 7 days a week.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and plate food to order according to our recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality. This includes grab-and-go items as well.
Follow safety protocols and kitchen practices to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates.
Set up and maintain an organized, clean kitchen station daily, ensuring all ingredients, tools, and equipment are stocked and ready for service.
Properly handle, store, and rotate ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) to maintain the quality and freshness of our products.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
Complete prep lists and other kitchen checklists to ensure all tasks are handled before service begins.
Execute cleaning duties as assigned to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment.
Communicate with the manager at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure smooth operations and that all tasks are completed.
Perform any other tasks as required to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
