Job Description
Machine Operator 3rd ShiftLocation: West Haven, CTPay Rate: $20/hour to startLingo Staffing is seeking an experienced Machine Operator for a fabrication company located in West Haven, CT. We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual with proven supervisory or leadership experience to join a fabric manufacturing team. This role involves operating and maintaining production machinery, ensuring fabric quality standards, and supporting production goals in a fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile manufacturing, solid leadership capabilities, the ability to act quickly, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.Important Training Requirement
- Must be able to train on 1st shift for 6 months to 1 year before transitioning to 3rd shift
- Training hours: 10:30 AM 7:00 PM
- 3rd shift hours: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Operate, monitor, and adjust fabric manufacturing machines according to production specifications
- Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs to minimize downtime
- Lead, train, and support a team of machine operators to meet production schedules and quality standards
- Monitor team performance and assist with performance evaluations
- Troubleshoot machine or production issues and coordinate with maintenance or engineering as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality assurance guidelines
- Maintain accurate production records and complete required reports in a timely manner
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce waste
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, production staff, and quality assurance teams
- Minimum of 23 years of machine operator experience
- Supervisory or team leadership experience in a production environment
- Strong understanding of textile production processes and quality control standards
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work orders, and specifications
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as required
- Ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
