Big Sky Transport, Inc. is a well-established FedEx Ground Linehaul Contractor operating out of Memphis, TN and Olive Branch, MS with a fleet of 40 tractors and 27 dedicated routes.

Available Work

We run a variety of runs: dedicated routes, fill-in coverage, unassigned rotation runs, laydowns, and peak seasonal runs. Please note:

• Dedicated full-time positions are not currently open.
• Most new hires will start on seasonal, rotation, or fill-in work(especially during peak).
• During peak, we will have 10 temporary dedicated runs, so you'll likely run something dedicatedthrough the holiday season.
• We'll coordinate a day-to-day or week-to-week schedulebased on your availability and freight volume.
• Strong performerswill be first in line for future full-time dedicated runs.

Scheduling Flexibility: We hire both full-time and part-time drivers. Whether you want to work six days a week or just one or two days, we'll do our best to match your preferences. With clear communication, we can almost always plan around your time off and personal responsibilities. Between freight volume, FedEx collaboration, and our scheduling team, we aim to find you a position that fits your lifestyle and goals.

Pay Structure

• Mileage Pay:
• $0.57/mile starting
• $0.59/mile after 60 days
• $0.60/mile for laydowns
• Drop-and-Hook Pay:$25 for each additional stop beyond your scheduled route.
• Example: Olive Branch → Nashville → Memphis → Olive Branch = +$25 extra
• Mileage Range:Some routes are ~400 miles, some ~650 miles, but the average is about 500 miles/day.
• Quick Math (for estimation only):
• 500 miles × $0.59/mile = $295/day
• Weekly Examples (based on 500 miles/day at $0.59/mile):
• 2 days/week = $590 gross/week
• 4 days/week = $1,180 gross/week
• 6 days/week = $1,770 gross/week
• (Mileage varies per route; these examples are provided to give you a general idea of expected pay.)

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Class A CDL with Doubles Endorsement
• 1 year verifiable OTR, or6 months OTR with a qualifying CDL school
• Able to safely hook and pull doubles(training may be available depending on experience and trainer availability)
• No more than 3 traffic violationsin the last 36 months
• Must pass DOT drug screen

FedEx Ground Approval (First Advantage):

• Required third-party background screeningfor all new drivers not currently FedEx-approved
• Screening is conducted through First Advantage(FedEx's provider)
• Timeline: 2–4 weeks
