Job Details
As a Permanent Litigation Attorney (Med/Mal), you will:
- Manage a caseload of complex medical malpractice cases from inception to resolution.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
- Represent clients before courts, arbitration panels, and other tribunals.
- Collaborate with physicians, skilled nursing professionals, and other experts to gather evidence and build strong cases.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends related to medical malpractice.
- Provide regular case status updates to clients and firm partners.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar and in good standing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Litigation Attorney, with a focus on medical malpractice.
- Proven experience working with physicians and skilled nursing professionals on legal cases.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines concurrently.
- Strong negotiation and client management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
