Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure seamless operation of our legal team's calendar by organizing events and monitoring deadlines. - Craft and refine legal documents with precision, ensuring all written communication is clear and professional. - Master e-filing protocols for CT/NY state and federal jurisdictions. - Efficiently manage and systematize both physical and electronic legal documents. - Engage actively in the discovery phase by maintaining schedules and liaising with involved parties. - Coordinate effectively with clients, court officials, and opposition teams professionally. - Facilitate administrative arrangements for hearings and trials, ensuring all materials are prepared. - Conduct detailed research pertinent to cases and court-related inquiries. - Oversee billing processes and keep track of time entries and expense management. - Play a role in broader firm and client relationship-building exercises.
Your Qualifications:
- Possess 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in litigation support or paralegal duties related to civil and commercial law. - Knowledgeable in CT/NY court filing procedures, with federal e-filing as an added advantage. - Strong grasp of civil litigation processes and procedures. - Demonstrated proficiency in writing, grammar, and document review. - Strong organizational prowess and meticulous attention to detail. - Exceptional client service and communication skills. - Skilled in using Microsoft 365, PDF managers, and legal case management tools. - Competent with legal, medical, and business documents. - Adept at working autonomously and taking the initiative.
Educational Background and Credentials:
- An Associate’s degree or paralegal certification is ideal, although equivalent hands-on experience is appreciated. - Notary Public status in CT/NY is a desirable asset. - Commutable to the Greenwich, CT office with some flexibility in working hours.
