Job Description
Litigation Legal Assistant Location: Houston, TX Type: Full-Time | On-Site A mid-to-large law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team. Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys handling complex litigation matters.
- Prepare, edit, and finalize pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Handle state and federal e-filing with accuracy and attention to deadlines.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, binders, and court filings.
- Maintain case files, calendars, and attorney schedules.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in a mid-size or large law firm.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, including advanced formatting tools (Styles, Tables of Contents, and Tables of Authorities).
- Strong knowledge of federal court procedures and filings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, proofreading, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
