Litigation Legal Assistant

Germer PLLC is seeking an experienced full-time Litigation Legal Assistant to provide high-level support to attorneys and assigned team members in the firm’s Houston office. You'll provide a full range of administrative and litigation support including, but not limited to, document creation, preparation and revision of correspondence, administrative filings, court filings, electronic transcription, expense reimbursement processing, travel arrangements, and calendar maintenance. You'll work closely with a team of attorneys and paralegals handling business and commercial litigation. Candidates whose litigation background is limited in those areas will not be a fit for the caseload here.

This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong professional administrative experience, and the ability to think independently in a fast-paced legal environment. A successful candidate will maintain high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism while managing multiple priorities.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• 3+ years of recent legal assistant experience in a mid- to large-size law firm supporting business/commercial litigation matters
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment with minimal supervision
• Professional experience and proficiency of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel
• Proficiency with e-filing through eFileTexas (state) and CM/ECF and PACER (federal)
• Basic/foundational knowledge of applicable Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
