Litigation Legal Assistant
Location: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: Hourly (based on experience) Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant with a minimum of three (3) years of litigation experience to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys throughout the litigation process.
- Prepare, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
- File documents electronically in state and federal courts.
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, meetings, and deadlines.
- Monitor and calculate litigation deadlines to ensure compliance with court rules.
- Coordinate service of process and manage case files from inception through trial.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
- Assist with discovery, including document production and preparation of responses.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
- Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, witness files, and other trial-related materials.
- Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of litigation legal assistant experience required.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures.
- Experience with litigation calendaring and case management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal case management/document management software.
- Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to client service and confidentiality.
