Job Description

Litigation Legal Assistant

Partner closely with litigation attorneys within a top ranked firm. Role open due to a retirement - great long-term growth potential and stability.

This top ranked law firm has offices all over the world. Their LA office has about 100 people. This role is 3 day a week onsite.

Prepare, review, and file state and federal court pleadings, motions, and related litigation documents in accordance with court rules and deadlines.

Draft correspondence, legal documents, discovery materials, and other case-related filings for attorney review.

Create and maintain Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities for briefs, motions, and other court submissions.

Manage and update litigation calendars, tracking court deadlines, filing requirements, hearings, depositions, and key case milestones.

Coordinate electronic filings through state and federal court systems and ensure timely submission of all required documents.

Coordinate with attorneys to schedule meetings, court appearances, and depositions.

Assist with document production and discovery processes.

Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel as needed.

Maintain and update case calendars, deadlines, and schedules.

Handle administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and managing correspondence.

Support attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and managing case materials.

A successful Litigation Legal Assistant should have:

5+ years of litigation legal support experience.

Ability to work in office 3 days a week 9:00-5:30.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Familiarity with legal terminology and litigation procedures.

Ability to work collaboratively in a busy environment.

Competitive salary ranging from $95,000 to $125,000 based on experience.
