Job Description
Our client, a full-service Law Firm, is seeking a remote Litigation Paralegal Attorney to join their growing team.The Foreclosure Litigation Paralegal supports attorneys in all phases of judicial foreclosure and related real estate litigation. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely progression of matters. The ideal candidate has experience in foreclosure, creditors rights, or real estate litigation and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Job Requirements:
- Draft and prepare litigation pleadings, including complaints, motions, affidavits, proposed orders, and discovery requests/responses.*
- Manage litigation timelines by tracking hearings, service dates, responsive pleading deadlines, mediation requirements, and court-mandated milestones.*
- Conduct title review and identify issues such as breaks in the chain of title, unreleased liens, probate concerns, HOA/COA liens, and defects affecting standing or foreclosure viability.*
- Prepare hearing and trial packages, including exhibits, case summaries, affidavits, and attorney preparation materials.*
- Review and monitor service of process, including review of affidavits of service/non-service, and ensure compliance with state service rules.*
- Communicate professionally with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and internal departments regarding case status and scheduling.*
- Review loan documents, servicing notes, and financial records to identify loss mitigation activity, bankruptcy flags, SCRA status, and other litigation-sensitive issues.*
- Monitor case progression from referral through judgment, escalating delays or risks proactively.*
- Assist attorneys with legal research related to foreclosure, title, and real property litigation.*
- Maintain accurate case records in internal systems and client platforms.
- Strong understanding of the judicial foreclosure process and state-specific foreclosure requirements.*
- Working knowledge of civil procedures, e-filing systems, and litigation workflows.*
- Familiarity with real estate and title concepts, including deeds, mortgages, assignments, easements, and probate.*
- Proficiency in drafting litigation documents and professional correspondence.*
- Experience with case management systems such as Legal Tracker, Tempo, LoanSphere, or similar platforms.*
- Ability to interpret financial documents, including payment histories, escrow analyses, and payoff/reinstatement figures.*
- Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and PDF editing tools for exhibit preparation.*
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.*
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.*
- Critical thinking and issue-spotting abilities, particularly regarding title defects, standing issues, and loss mitigation concerns.*
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.*
- Proactive problem-solving and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.*
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and cross-department teams.*
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Prior experience in foreclosure litigation, real estate litigation, or creditor rights.*
- Background in title review or title resolution.*
- Experience preparing summary judgment packages, default judgment materials, and trial binders.*
- Familiarity with bank client requirements, audits, and compliance standards.*
- Experience supporting attorneys in hearings, mediations, or depositions.
