This position is in our Personal Injury group and will support the senior partner and other attorneys and work with other paralegals and legal assistants, in a fast-paced, paper heavy environment. We are seeking candidates who have experience working in Georgia Personal Injury. • Managing multiple client case files
• Opening client files and initiating claims
• Calendaring deadlines, scheduling various appointments
• Tracking medical treatment and insurance policy coverage
• Ordering medical records
• Preparing demand packages
• Drafting and filing Complaints and initial Discovery
• Serving parties
• Drafting and filing various pleadings
• Answering discovery
• Correspondence with the Court and opposing parties
• Scheduling depositions/mediations
• Keeping clients informed of case progress
• Preparing settlement documents
• Negotiating liens and subrogation claims
• Client, medical provider, insurance adjuster and attorney contact
• Various other administrative duties as they arise

Requirements:

• Excellent computer and telephone skills
• Technical and detail oriented
• Ability to handle existing case load and perform multiple tasks with minimal instruction and supervision
• Working cases up from initial call through litigation to settlement/judgment
• Knowledge of personal injury/civil litigation deadlines and procedures
• Excellent communications skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Experience in Georgia Workers’ Compensation a plus
• Bi-lingual a plus
• Experience with Clio or similar document management system a plus
• Notary Public license
