This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can independently manage cases from inception through mediation, arbitration, and trial.The Litigation Paralegal will conduct legal research, investigate facts, prepare legal documents, manage discovery, coordinate trial preparation, and ensure compliance with court rules and client guidelines. This role requires strong technical proficiency, analytical skills, and hands-on trial experience.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and review case files from inception through mediation, arbitration, and trialPerform e-filing in State and Federal courts (including PACER)Draft and prepare subpoenas for depositions and document productionPrepare initial discovery (interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admissions)Draft discovery responses, coordinate document productions, and prepare privilege logsMonitor and calendar deadlines to ensure timely filings and responsesPrepare attorneys for depositions and draft deposition summaries/abstractsResearch, vet, and coordinate with subject matter expertsDraft and prepare pleadings, briefs, factual chronologies, medical chronologies, agreements, deposition materials, and trial bindersOrganize and index case files and original legal documentsInvestigate facts and gather supporting documentation as requestedRecord and maintain billable time in compliance with client guidelinesSupport trial preparation, including:
  • Preparing trial subpoenas
  • Organizing trial notebooks
  • Creating exhibit and witness lists
  • Coordinating witness scheduling and management
  • Preparing and manipulating electronic and physical exhibits
