Job Details
Am Law International Law firm is seeking a paralegal with strong background in trial preparation and attendance to join our well established Pittsburgh office. Our ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with exceptional research and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all facets of the litigation process, from initial discovery through trial preparation and support. With a strong focus on eDiscovery and other legal software, this role requires a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape, as well as the ability to manage large volumes of data and documents.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and meticulous legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
- Manage all aspects of the eDiscovery process, including identifying, preserving, processing, reviewing, and producing electronically stored information (ESI).
- Coordinate with the legal team, clients, and third-party vendors to ensure efficient and effective eDiscovery.
- Draft, review, and manage legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas.
- Assist in deposition preparation, trial preparation, and document management.
- Maintain and update case files, and manage case calendars.
- Ensure compliance with legal standards, protocols, and court rules.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in eDiscovery.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, with a prior trial support experience.
- Bachelor's degree in legal studies or a related field. Paralegal certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing all stages of the litigation process, from discovery through trial.
- Expertise in using eDiscovery tools and software, and a deep understanding of ESI.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, case management software, and legal databases.
