Litigation Paralegal

Position: Litigation Paralegal Location: Downtown Los Angeles or Woodland Hills, CA (Onsite, will transition to 3 days onsite after 4-6 months) Pay: $90,000 to $126,000 annually Experience: 5+ years of experience to support attorneys in case management, court filings, document review and production, drafting, and responding to discovery, deposition, and trial preparation. Education: Must have an ABA-approved paralegal certificate or equivalent, bachelor's degree, or relevant work experience. Type: Full-time; Direct Hire Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (37.5 hour/week) Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic law firm client! Job Description: Manage client documents, electronic data, and determine the potential existence of documents that may be relevant to each case. Conduct litigation, criminal, and civil background checks, social media searches, and obtain properly authenticated records. Create drafts for attorney review: removal documents, certificates of interested parties, answers, initial disclosures, motions and orders, scheduling orders, protective orders, deposition notices, affidavits and declarations, discovery and responses to discovery, settlement agreements, dismissal documents for attorney review. Assists with the preparation of motions for summary judgment; checking deposition cites, assembling exhibits, and creating an appendix. Prepare all documents for production: Bates labeling and redacting for privileged and confidential information. Support preparation for trial, including managing exhibits and evidentiary matters, witness lists, files, and subpoenas, coordinates and attends witness prep meetings; assists at trial. Conducts online research and utilizes the firm's electronic resources efficiently/effectively. Position Requirements: Extensive knowledge of litigation and trial procedures, federal, state, and appellate court rules, and procedures. Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), document review software, eDiscovery technology, and document management system (Relativity and Everlaw experience strongly preferred). Experience using Trial Director, OnCue, or other trial software is a plus. Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain excellent communication skills. High motivation, reliability, flexibility, curiosity, and strong teamwork skills. OSHA or Cal-OSHA, labor and employment experience is a plus. Spanish to English document translation skills are preferred.
