Job Description
Position: Litigation Paralegal Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Onsite for the first 90 days, then 3 days onsite) Pay: $90,000 - $110,000 per year Experience: 3+ years of experience to be responsible for managing assigned cases from case inception through discovery, trial, post-trial proceedings, and case closure. Education: Must have a paralegal certificate or equivalent. Bachelors degree strongly preferred. Type: Full-time; Direct Hire Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm (OT as needed) Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic law firm client! Job Description: Assists with drafting pleadings, routine motions, responses to discovery, subpoenas, trial documents, preparing exhibits, assembling appendices for motions, and appellate practice. Assist attorneys with document review and production; track production documents and status Prepare, review, and maintain case files. Deposition, mediation, and trial preparation and support. Work with eDiscovery staff to ensure that electronic files are collected, reviewed, and managed in accordance with Firm standards. Assist with scheduling (witness and expert interviews). Enter billing and expense data into the Firm system. Position Requirements: Knowledge of all facets of the litigation lifecycle: case management, document review, and trial experience is required. Knowledge of state and federal court rules and eFiling experience in state and federal courts. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), WestLaw, and billing systems with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with exceptional customer service skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive/confidential documents and information.
