Job Description

Talis Group’s company client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in complex litigation matters such as insurance defense, torts, etc. This position plays a key role in managing pre-litigation and litigation support, assisting with case preparation, discovery, and coordination with clients, experts, and court personnel. This position is full time, on-site, and offers a full benefits package that includes health insurance at 30 days, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans and profit sharing. Salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 and it comes with an end of year discretionary bonus.Highlighted Responsibilities:
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and court filings.
  • Conduct document review and case organization using litigation support platforms (e.g., Relativity, Concordance)
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, vendors, and expert witnesses.
  • Track case deadlines and manage calendars using docketing systems.
  • Assist attorneys with deposition and trial preparation, including creation of trial exhibits and binders.
  • File documents with state and federal courts, including e-filing.
  • Support attorneys in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
Highlighted Requirements:
  • Associate degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience, with preference for civil litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure, discovery, and e-filing rules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
