Minden Medical Center is looking for a well-organized, energetic, LMSW with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The LCSW/LMSW/LPC/PLPC participates as an integral professional member of a multi-disciplinary team, implementing and assisting in the supervision of social service interventions to patients. The Social Services provider demonstrates understanding and interpretation of facility policies to ensure that policies are adhered to. Social Service Provider will conduct therapy groups according to daily program schedule. Group content will be selected according to the current population to promote most effective therapeutic services are being delivered. Provider will complete assessments, communicate with family members, complete treatment plans, and participate in staffing with treatment team as needed. Furthermore, the Social Service Provider will demonstrate a strong knowledgeable of a wide range of disorders; cognitive, emotional, and developmental, social and behavioral. Additional duties include, performs crisis intervention, special case conferences, and communication to outside agencies to ensure that the patient rights, care, and needs are met.
Requirements:
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker oversees the implementation of interventions performed by other disciplines with the social service department. Primary Source Verification of education. Copy of clinical license. CPR. Behavioral Management Training
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Education: Master's in Social Work or Psychology field from an accredited school preferredLicense: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); or Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) - with the State of LouisianaExperience: One-year experience performing duties as a Social Worker/Counselor in a BehavioralHealth setting preferredAdditional Requirement• Effective verbal communication skills• Effective organizational skills• Effective interpersonal skills• Analytical problem solving skills• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions• Proficient knowledge of PC computers• Basic understanding of DSM V diagnostic criteria• Basic understanding of medical and psychiatric diagnoses and conditionsCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:• Photo ID• Social Security Card/Driver's License• Primary Source Verification of education• Copy of clinical license• CPR- (completed by end of unit orientation AEB: skills checklist)• Behavioral Management Training - - (completed by end of unit orientation AEB: skills checklist)
