THE POSITION - HOUSE OF BLUES ORLANDO MARKETING INTERN

Are you looking for an exciting internship experience? Our paid Internship Program provides real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. After finishing this program, you will have gained broad experience in various aspects of the entertainment business. You can also expect to apply your academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This is a part-time position, no more than 40 hours per week.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Assisting the marketing department with administrative duties and campaign organization

  • Compiling and maintaining distribution list for flyers, posters, and promotional items

  • Research target markets for concerts and identify key audience demographics

  • Research digital avenues in various markets

  • Maintaining a contact list for local media

  • Research and contact influencers to use on marketing campaigns; assist with managing partnerships

  • Set up promotions with approved influencers and track success

  • Assist with updating in-venue signage

  • Research new local partnerships and help amplify our local network of local businesses, vendors, community organizations, and influencers

  • Assist with capturing day of show content

  • Research and help marketing team understand social trends and propose new ideas.

  • Engage in grassroots marketing efforts, including street team coordination and on-site promotional activations

  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to optimize campaigns

  • An internship project to be determined by the manager and yourself to learn more about live entertainment marketing that will presented at the end of the internship

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Learn the process of marketing concerts

  • Learn how to properly research target demographics

  • Learn how to build and maintain relationships with outside organizations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University; Preferably in a field related to the internship you are applying for

  • Recent Graduate or Junior or Senior standing

  • Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)

  • Creative thinker and problem solver

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy

  • A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs

  • Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50+ lbs. and occasional sitting.

This program is during Summer 2026.
