Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: This position will perform loading and unloading of products in a safe manner.

This is not a supervisory role.

Starting Pay:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Punctual and dependable attendance.
  • Receiving and unloading the organization’s trucks and trailers.
  • Prepare and load equipment for shipment to the stores in trucks and trailers.
  • Maximize vehicle capacity by ensuring efficient loading and unloading.
  • Demonstrates adherence to all policies, procedures and safety practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by sweeping floors, disposing of debris, and ensuring work areas are free of hazards.
  • Able to collaborate and work in a team environment.
  • Provide good customer service.
  • Review and be familiar with Goodwill of Central Oklahoma safety and security policies, programs and procedures and adhere to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes. Attend safety training and meetings and report on any unsafe work conditions, accidents or injuries immediately.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.
  • Equipment operation experience preferred, i.e., pallet jacks, baler, tipper, forklift, etc.
  • Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
  • Reliable transportation and communication, required.

  • This work is physical and requires the following activities: Standing, twisting, bending, kneeling, grasping, and reaching for long periods of time; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Frequent walking and long extended periods of time on foot.
  • The ability to push, pull and lift 50 pounds, or more with assistance. Must be able to maneuver 200 pounds, pull utility carts on wheels on and off trucks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Works in warehouse environment will be exposed to airborne particles such as dust, mold, dirt and pollen as well as extreme heat and cold.
  • Must be available to work during operating hours as needed for business operations. The work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays which may vary from week to week as well as occasional overtime when approved by management.
  • Moderate noise level.
  • Works 40 hours per week or more when required.
