Lobby Attendant - Catalina Hotel

Summary/Objective

We're looking for Lobby Attendant with a positive attitude that communicate effectively, work well under pressure, and work efficiently with limited supervision. If this sounds like you, apply today! The ideal candidate will be responsible to maintain the grounds of the property and related duties.

Essential Functions

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of designated outdoor and indoor areas during operating hours.
• Perform light cleaning tasks including but not limited to sweeping walkways, removing litter, and dusting outdoor furniture and fixtures.
• Assist with keeping public spaces, such as restrooms, conference rooms, and lobbies, clean and organized.
• Empty trash cans in outdoor and public areas and replace liners as needed.
• Tidy and rearrange outdoor furniture to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Conduct minor landscaping tasks, such as watering plants and removing debris.
• Report maintenance or safety issues observed during the shift to the appropriate team.
• Demonstrate teamwork by assisting housekeeping staff or other employees as needed.
• Deliver linens or cleaning supplies to various areas of the property as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager..

Required Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.

• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Must be able communicate in English both verbal and written
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule AM/PM, weekends Sat/Sun and holidays.

Work environment

The work environment involves frequent exposure to variable temperatures, including extreme heat or cold. Groundsleeper employees may encounter noise, fumes, odors, dust, chemicals, and biohazards. This position requires working outdoors for extended periods.

Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding position that requires regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days vary based on business needs. This includes weekends, holidays, evenings and/or overnight shifts.
