Job Description
CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver – Good Pay + $5K Bonus | Home Daily
Earn $80,000–$88,000 average annual gross pay with daily home time, consistent Sunday–Thursday routes, and multiple opportunities to increase your earnings.
Pay Details
- Average Annual Pay: $80,000–$88,000
- Average Weekly Pay: $1,600–$1,750
- $5,000 Bonus
- $56 customer live load/unload
- $28 customer drop/hook
- $15 out-of-route empty move or crosstown drop
- $15/hour rail delay pay after 1 hour
- $20/hour detention pay after 1.5 hours
- $25 per Hazmat load
Job Details
- Local intermodal freight with daily Chicago runs
- Additional local work within a 100-mile radius of Fort Wayne
- Approximately 1,900 miles/week
- Primarily container pickup and delivery between customers and the rail yard
- Day shift: approximately 60% drop/hook and 40% live
- Night shift: approximately 80% drop/hook and 20% live
Shift Details
- Home Daily
- Sunday–Thursday
- Start time: 3:00 AM
- Approximately 11-hour shifts
Job Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days; reimbursement available
- Reliable transportation
- No SAP drivers
- Riders not permitted
Equipment & PTO
- Automatic trucks only
- Slip-seat operation
- Truck remains at the account during time off
- 18 paid days off: 12 PTO + 6 holidays
- After 1 year: 22 paid days off: 16 PTO + 6 holidays
