• Education Requirements: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN license required)
• Certifications Requirements: BLS certification, ACLS preferred, CPR required
• Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent CVOR or cardiovascular operating room experience
  • Previous travel experience preferred
  • Experience working independently in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work 8-hour day shifts from 11 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to handle rotating call shifts, approximately 2-3 nights per month

• Provide expert cardiovascular and thoracic surgical nursing care in a busy OR environment, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare, instrument, and assist during cardiac, thoracic, and interventional procedures, maintaining sterile standards.
• Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels, promptly addressing any abnormalities or concerns during surgical procedures.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in the EMR system, including pain scores, medication administration, and intraoperative details.
• Support on the unit by assisting with instrumentation, managing case equipment, and maintaining readiness for scheduled and emergency procedures.
