Job Description
Prime Connected is hiring a Field Account Manager (FAM) to support structured cabling and low voltage installation projects across the local market. This role is responsible for field operations, project oversight, quality assurance, and technician leadership.
This is a hands-on position for someone with a strong background in structured cabling, fiber optics, and field project management who can step into active job sites and ensure projects stay on schedule, on budget, and meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor active low voltage and structured cabling projects for performance, schedule, and budget
- Travel to job sites to support project execution, field operations, and issue resolution
- Perform quality assurance (QA) audits to ensure installations meet company and industry standards
- Track daily progress, verify milestones, and provide accurate reporting
- Partner with Account Managers on project planning, staffing, and timelines
- Troubleshoot issues related to fiber optic and copper cabling installations
- Support documentation including test results, photos, and closeout packages
- Provide on-site leadership, training, and mentorship to technicians
- Communicate project updates, risks, and performance feedback to leadership
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in structured cabling, low voltage, or telecommunications
- Experience as a lead technician, field supervisor, or project lead.
Strong knowledge of:
- Fiber optic and copper cabling systems
- Cable pathways, terminations, and testing
- ANSI/TIA standards and National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Experience with field project management, QA/QC, and job site coordination
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, scope of work, and project specifications
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel regularly to project sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in healthcare, data center, or commercial environments
- Familiarity with tools such as FieldWire, project management software, or CRM systems
- Experience supporting multi-site or national deployment projects
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours based on project needs
