About the Special Education Teacher Role:
Title: Special Education TeacherLocation: Spartanburg, SCSchedule: Monday–FridayHours: 37.5 hours per weekCompensation: $48–$53/hourBenefits: Medical, dental, and vision
Travel stipends available for non-local candidates willing to relocate for assignment
Work Setting: On-site only
Certification: South Carolina Special Education Certification or eligible certification required
Position Details:
- Full-time, contract position for the 2026/2027 school year
- Assignment dates: July 30, 2026 – May 28, 2027
- Elementary school setting
- 2 Moderate Intellectual Disability (ID) self-contained classroom openings
- 1 Self-Contained Elementary Behavior Classroom opening
- Classes are expected to have fewer than 10 students
- Self-contained classrooms typically have classroom support staff/teaching assistants available
- Elementary schedule with dismissal by approximately 3:00 PM
