Job Description
Our client, a Consumer Products And Software Services company, is looking for a Localization QA IV for their Austin, TX location.Responsibilities:
- Closely collaborate with vendors, Localization Project Managers (LPMs), lab operations staff, and language leads across the company to ensure a consistent language experience from software, to marketing, and support.
- As Localization QA lead on team, bring outstanding linguistic and technical skills to ensure that users around the globe are getting an equally enjoyable experience in any UI language we support besides English.
- Responsible for producing Commerce localized content with limited supervision.
- Role requires native level expertise in at least one language in addition to English.
- Localization experience and project management ability is essential.
- The Localization QA is expected to work closely with vendor testers to outline expectations.
- The LQA will work with other LQAs and LPMs, and vendors to ensure that localization projects are on track, relevant to the audience, and represents client voice in the market place.
- The LQA will manage the input of localized data into multiple internal and vendor systems without error.
- The successful candidate must be highly detail-oriented, and be able to judge and manage linguistic issues for 39 languages and all territories client covers.
- Localization QA experience is required and software QA experience is preferred.
- Must possess a solid understanding of online production processes and a passion for meeting the needs of client international customers.
- Wallet, Payment, and Commerce related experience in international marketplace highly desirable; apps, music, TV, Movies – media related experience a plus.
- Must possess the desire to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment; this role requires flexibility, the ability to wisely prioritize tasks, and rapidly apply keen judgment to complex situations.
- The ideal candidate will be committed to giving our non-US customers a user experience equivalent to or superior to that of our US customers by producing localized content for the App Store.
- BA degree or equivalent
- Linguistic skill in language other than English; excellent English communication skills
- Familiarity with Wallet, Payment, and Commerce areas
- Production experience; localization production preferred
- Experience in methods of automating workflow a plus
- Excellent verbal communication and written communication skills

- Help us localize top priority projects and lead the QA of our features with the support of additional vendors.
- The environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to work autonomously while handling aggressive delivery schedules.
- The right mix of problem solving skills and passion to improve existing processes and tools will help you see the big picture beyond your specific language needs.
- Create and manage glossaries, style guides, and other linguistic and cultural assets. As our language POC, you will provide feedback to a wide variety of teams to establish localization quality requirements and connect with the Lab Operations team and LPMs when those requirements are not met.
- Qualify a variety of products and services through both manual and automated UI testing.
- With the added support of internal and external vendors, ensure the best quality output for Client customers across all deliverables for your specific language.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to identify the best localization strategies around new and current brands.
- Drive linguistic bugs resolution and communicate localizability, functional, and layout issues promptly to the project LPMs.
- Beyond reporting on issues found, provide pertinent information and follow solutions to their conclusion.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on product and UX design, and flag potential cultural sensitivity issues.
- Look for opportunities to optimize workflow, tools, and processes to help the team scale.
- Implement and foster globalization/internationalization/ localization best practices.
