Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, is looking for dedicated providers to perform crucial Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across various locations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to serving those who have served our country, with a flexible schedule and competitive compensation.In this role, you will conduct interview-based assessments, including physical examinations such as range of motion and muscle strength testing — all without the need for prescribing or treatment. You will work on a PRN basis, with the option to choose half-day or full-day shifts, making it ideal for professionals seeking flexible engagement. All exams are completed efficiently, with quick credentialing and onboarding processes. Local candidates with their own office space within specified radius are preferred, and travel is included in your compensation.Required Skills:

• Medical license in good standing in your state
• Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
• Experience with compensation and pension exams or similar assessments preferred
• Strong interview and physical assessment skills
• Ability to complete exams, submit reports, and manage follow-up administrative work efficiently

Nice to Have Skills:

• Certification in DMA or experience with government health assessments
• Prior experience conducting C&P exams or separation health assessments

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Proven track record in general medicine or related fields
• Previous experience working with veterans or in occupational health preferred

Other Requirements:

• Own office space within the specified radius of your assigned location (Coeur D'alene, Mountain Home, Grangeville, Moscow, Sandpoint)
• Availability to work ½ days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) depending on scheduling needs
• Willingness to participate in training and complete initial exams for bonus eligibility
• No reimbursement for certification or portal training costs prior to start
