Locum - Physician - Radiology - Diagnostic Grass Valley, CA

We are looking for a dedicated Locum Physician in Diagnostic Radiology with Mammography privileges to support Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to high-quality outpatient care, perform essential procedures, and enjoy a competitive compensation package in the scenic setting of Grass Valley, California.In this vital position, you will be responsible for reading a variety of radiology studies, including diagnostic mammograms, PET scans, and supporting breast biopsies. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes in a well-supported outpatient environment, working alongside experienced radiology technicians and staff. The assignment is designed to be both professionally fulfilling and adaptable to your schedule.Required Skills:

• Proven experience in Diagnostic Radiology with proficiency in Mammography and Breast Biopsies
• Ability to independently interpret mammograms, PET scans, and other modalities
• Strong knowledge of Cerner EMR system
• Excellent diagnostic skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary outpatient setting
• Must have current state medical license and DEA certification

Nice to Have Skills:

• Ability to read PET, MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound studies
• Prior experience in outpatient radiology clinics
• Comfort with tele-radiology support options
• Bilingual abilities or additional languages are a plus

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified in Radiology
• Minimum 2 years of post-residency clinical experience
• Prior outpatient or mammography experience preferred

Other Requirements:

• Credentialing with the hospital and foundation (90-120 days)
• Willingness to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM
• No call responsibilities expected
• Ability to perform breast biopsies and interpret mammograms
• Travel reimbursements, licensure, and certification costs covered
