Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine MIJoin Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company dedicated to serving our nation's Veterans, as a Locum Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine across Michigan. If you are a qualified provider with a background in internal or family medicine, this role offers the chance to perform vital Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in various locations, all while enjoying competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.In this role, you will conduct interview-based evaluations and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing, without prescriptive or treatment responsibilities. The position offers flexibility, with options for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts on a PRN basis, starting from March 6, 2026. Your contributions will help Veterans receive the care and recognition they deserve, making this a highly rewarding opportunity.Required Skills:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Michigan or the ability to obtain licensure promptly
• Proven experience in internal or family medicine, orthopedics, or related general medicine fields
• Ability to perform interview-based assessments and physical examinations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized with attention to detail in report submission and documentation

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or military health assessments
• Certification in relevant specialties or additional healthcare credentials
• Experience working independently and managing multiple locations

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (ARNP, NP) from an accredited program
• Minimum 2 years of clinical practice in general medicine or related field
• Prior experience in a locum or telehealth setting is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Own a professional space suitable for conducting exams (equipment and private setting)
• Willingness to travel within Michigan; travel expenses included in pay rates
• Ability to complete required training and onboarding quickly
• Maintain all necessary licensure and certifications current to perform exams

The hourly pay rate for this position is $402.00, with flat rates for half-day and full-day shifts, including travel reimbursement.
