Locum - Physician - General Medicine MI

We are seeking dedicated and qualified General Medicine physicians to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Michigan. This role offers the flexibility to work independently, make a meaningful difference, and enjoy competitive compensation.In this vital position, you will conduct interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength assessments. There is no prescribing or treatment involved. Your expertise will help ensure our Veterans receive the care and recognition they deserve. We provide a streamlined credentialing process and flexible scheduling options, including half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts, on a PRN basis, with ongoing opportunities.Required Skills:

• MD or DO license in the state of Michigan
• Proven experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
• Ability to conduct interview-based exams and physical assessments
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently at your own office location within 50 miles of listed Michigan cities

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience with compensation and pension exams
• Familiarity with veteran health services
• Certifications in medical assessments or relevant specialties

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
• Previous experience conducting VES or similar assessments preferred but not required

Other Requirements:

• Own a fully equipped medical office space within 50 miles of designated Michigan cities
• Reliable internet and communication tools for administrative tasks
• Willingness to complete comprehensive training and initial exams
• Ability to perform quick credentialing and onboarding processes

Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate of $624.00, with flat rates of $800 for half-day shifts (up to 4 hours) and $1,600 for full-day shifts (5 hours or more).
