What You’ll Do

• Provide cardiac anesthesiology coverage for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart procedures
• Perform hands-on anesthesia care for adult and geriatric patients
• Support general operating room cases as needed
• Provide overnight and weekend call coverage
• Perform and apply transesophageal echocardiography in the perioperative setting
• Occasionally supervise a CRNA
• Document patient care using the Epic electronic medical record

What You NeedRequired

• Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography testamur status as defined by the National Board of Echocardiography
• Completion of an approved ACGME or international-equivalent cardiovascular anesthesiology fellowship, or five years of documented cardiovascular anesthesiology experience
• Ability to provide letters of recommendation from anesthesiologists and cardiovascular surgeons if qualifying through the experience-based pathway
• Eligibility to obtain the required license

About the AssignmentThis opportunity is based at a leading 187-bed Level 1 trauma and academic facility in Omaha, NE. The setting includes 15 main operating rooms, cardiac and electrophysiology procedural services, invasive and non-invasive cardiology, neurointerventional radiology, bronchoscopy, MRI, and obstetrics.
