The role involves providing clinical expertise both in-office and inpatient settings, supporting the ongoing needs of the hospital's maternal health program during a critical recruitment period. • Board certification or eligibility in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Proven experience managing high-risk pregnancies and fetal conditions
• Proficiency in performing amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and other prenatal procedures
• Strong knowledge of obstetric ultrasound and fetal assessment techniques
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Current medical license to practice in Virginia or eligibility for licensure

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience supervising advanced practice providers (APPs) or multidisciplinary team members
• Additional certifications in fetal medicine or prenatal diagnostics
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR and Viewpoint documentation systems
• Knowledge of genetic counseling and diagnostic testing procedures

Preferred Education and Experience

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maternal fetal medicine, preferably in a hospital or high-volume outpatient setting
• Prior locum or temporary staffing experience is advantageous

Other Requirements

• Credentialing timeframe of approximately 90 days
• Providers will support both office and inpatient services at designated hospitals
• No supervision of other physicians required; opportunity to support a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
• Travel expenses such as flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage will be reimbursed according to IRS standards
• This assignment requires active licensure in Virginia or eligibility to obtain it
