Locum- Physician- General Medicine LAJoin a reputable government contractor dedicated to serving our nation's Veterans by providing vital Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country. As a Locum Physician specializing in General Medicine, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, interview-based assessments that support veterans' benefits processes. This flexible, PRN position allows you to leverage your internal or family medicine expertise while maintaining your own practice location, offering both convenience and impactful service.Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments primarily through interviews, with some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• No prescribing or treatment involved.
• Complete exams, prepare reports and addendums efficiently within scheduled shifts.
• Perform exams at your own office within a 20-mile radius of Fort Polk, LA, two days per week.
• Engage in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
• Complete follow-up administrative work, including addendums and opinions, within the designated rate structure.

Required Skills:

• Medical license in good standing in the state of Louisiana.
• Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Experience with compensation and pension exams preferred.
• Strong interview and physical assessment skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt to documentation and reporting requirements.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience with veteran assessments or military health systems.
• Familiarity with certification processes related to VA exams.
• Flexibility to work half or full days as needed.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certification or eligibility in relevant medical fields.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical or assessment experience.

Other Requirements:

• Own a private practice location within the specified radius.
• Travel included in rates; local candidates preferred.
• Commitment to timely documentation and administrative duties.
• No reimbursement for certifications or portal training prior to engagement.
