Locum Tenens Opportunity Diagnostic Radiology (New Mexico)

We are actively seeking a Locum Diagnostic Radiologist for coverage in a community hospital setting in New Mexico. This assignment offers a strong balance of diagnostic work, light procedures, and supportive clinical staff in a collegial environment.

Position Overview

Ongoing locum coverage with rotating blocks (approximately 2 weeks per month)
Open dates include late July through October
Diagnostic Radiology assignment in a community hospital setting
Mix of inpatient, outpatient, and emergent imaging
Bread-and-butter diagnostic responsibilities
Fully equipped onsite workstation and imaging support
Rare need for coverage at affiliated outpatient imaging sites

Clinical Expectations

Daily workflow may include a light procedural component (approximately 45 cases/day), such as:

Fluoroscopic GI studies
Joint injections (including spine)
Arthrograms
Image-guided biopsies
Thoracentesis and paracentesis

Additional imaging volume may include:

Screening mammography (low volume, not required in most cases)

Reporting expectations include:

CT imaging with stone measurements when applicable
Plain film radiographs
Venous reflux/DVT-related studies when indicated

Candidate Requirements

Active New Mexico medical license required
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
Clean background and malpractice history required
Comfortable working independently in a community hospital environment
Strong general diagnostic and light procedural skill set preferred
