Job Description
We are seeking a Logistics Management Specialist to support the Army at Ft. Detrick, MD. You will support of a myriad of Army logistical policies to include property accountability, logistics automation, supply management, acquisition, transportation management, and facilities.
Salary: $70,000 - 78,000/annum (based on experience)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- In this position, you will monitor receipt and issue of supplies and equipment along with preparing necessary documentation to account for property through hand-receipt procedures.
- Develop and review change of responsibility officer inventory, annual responsible officer and cyclic inventories, monitor scheduled inventories.
- Determine need for and initiate action to clear account of discrepancies by Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL), inventory adjustment, or other appropriate means.
- Review, examine and approve sensitive item inventories; and initiate requests for turn in of supplies and equipment.
- Provide various logistics management assistance to other Government logisticians as requested.
- Coordinate transportation requirements for personnel with the Fort Detrick Logistical Readiness Center (LRC) ensuring transportation is always available to support mission requirements.
- Coordinate all facility work orders with the Fort Detrick Department of Public Works (DPW), ensuring a safe and healthy workplace is always present.
Required Skills and Experience
- Top Secret Security SCI Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field - Internships and college credits considered.
- Minimum of three years experience in DoD logistics, supply chain, or a related field. Internships or relevant coursework will be considered.
- Familiar with Logistics policies, Army preferred.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Required Clearance
- Active Top Secret Security SCI clearance required.
