Logistics Manager

Location: Claremore/Tulsa, Oklahoma

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee inbound and outbound transportation operations supporting a growing manufacturing and distribution environment. This role is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments, managing carrier relationships, optimizing freight spend, improving transportation performance, and ensuring efficient material flow throughout the supply chain.

The successful candidate will partner closely with procurement, warehouse, production, inventory, and customer-facing teams to ensure materials and finished goods move safely, accurately, and cost-effectively while supporting operational and customer service objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation & Freight Management

• Manage daily inbound and outbound freight operations across multiple transportation modes.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments utilizing LTL, FTL, parcel, expedited, and specialty freight services.
• Monitor shipment activity and proactively resolve transportation delays, shortages, damages, and service disruptions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight brokers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Evaluate transportation options to balance service performance, transit times, and freight costs.
• Support freight claim management and transportation issue resolution.

Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Support

• Coordinate inbound deliveries with warehouse and operations teams to ensure efficient receiving activities.
• Ensure accurate shipping and receiving documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, export documentation, and customs paperwork.
• Support inventory accuracy through shipment verification, audits, reconciliations, and material tracking activities.
• Collaborate with purchasing and production teams regarding material availability and delivery schedules.

International Logistics & Compliance

• Coordinate international freight movements and customs-related shipping activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations and shipping requirements.
• Maintain accurate logistics records and shipment documentation within ERP and transportation management systems.
• Support import and export activities as required.

Process Improvement & Analytics

• Analyze transportation performance and identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and cost control.

• Monitor freight spend and support transportation cost-reduction initiatives.

• Develop logistics KPIs and reporting related to:

  • On-Time Delivery

  • Freight Spend

  • Carrier Performance

  • Shipping Accuracy

  • Inventory Accuracy

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across shipping, receiving, and material flow operations.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, receiving, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
• Experience managing LTL, FTL, parcel, expedited, and international freight shipments.
• Working knowledge of transportation regulations, shipping documentation, and freight operations.
• Experience utilizing ERP systems, shipping software, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or related field.
• Manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or warehouse operations experience.
• Experience negotiating carrier rates and transportation services.
• Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse management processes.
• Experience supporting import/export operations and customs compliance.
• Experience analyzing logistics data and implementing process improvements.
