Job Description
Aging in Place is locally-owned and operated by a nurse that understands the true meaning of compassion. The company was born out of a vision of providing an aging community with a means of securing and receiving a high quality of care in the comfort of their own homes. Aging in Place is now committed to providing the much needed quality care for Seniors and Veterans.
We are currently staffing a LPN position for Monday-Friday 7a-3pm. This is a Director of Nursing position.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing.
- Provide assistance with personal care such as to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Help clients take prescribed medication
- Must have knowledge of assistive lift devices
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
Qualifications
- Licensed LPN in good standing
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
- Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Prior experience in nursing (minimum of 1 year)
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
- Take pride in providing high quality care
- Hoyer Lift and Sit to Stand Lift Experience (specific to client)
- Must be reliable, dependable, punctual
- Good communication skills
