Job Description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Travel AssignmentDays, 40 hours guaranteed.

Assumes assigned patient load of selected patients and is responsible for patients from admission to discharge. Recognizes patients conditions for changes and documents this information. Collaborates with the RN to carry out nursing care. Participates in updating care plans.Performs a wide range of treatment procedures, including heat and cold therapy; extensive sterile dressing changes, starting maintaining and monitoring IV’s; inserting catheters and NG tubes; administering enemas; caring for isolation patients; preparing and administering medications, including IV medications; and setting up for and giving treatments such as oxygen, suction, and respiratory therapy.
