About the Role
Northwest Medical Center is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a night shift contract assignment. You’ll provide high-quality care to newborns and premature infants in a Level III NICU, collaborating closely with neonatologists and multidisciplinary care teams.
This role is ideal for compassionate nurses who are confident in high-acuity neonatal settings and are comfortable supporting both NICU and postpartum care when needed.
Requirements
All of the following are required:
Active AZ RN License
NRP certification
3+ years of NICU experience
Level III NICU experience
Infant Driven Feeding Certificate
Preferred:
STABLE certification
Responsibilities
Attend high-risk and newborn deliveries
Manage NICU admissions
Start IVs and draw labs
Provide ventilator care
Deliver safe, evidence-based neonatal nursing in accordance with hospital policy
Demonstrate leadership, delegation, and sound clinical judgment
When census is low: Nurses with postpartum (PP) experience may assist with newborn or couplet assignments.

Patient Ratio: 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity
